The wine bottle is an instantly recognizable shape for which my aim was to transform the identity and its use. My objective was to add value and up-grade its status.

 

The top halves of the wine bottles are glued to free blown or mould blown bases I designed, to create hybrid multi-purpose bottles or decanters. The bottom halves are topped with blown mini bottles as stoppers which create multi-function food jars.The Fat Flask and Friend series is a playful investigation into balance and contrast between something familiar, something new and continuity.

L’idée de départ pour ce projet était le recyclage, la transformation et revalorisation d’un objet en verre d’usage courant.

Au final, la simple bouteille de vin est métamorphosée en deux objets multifonction : Un bocal surmonté d’un « couvercle flacon » et un décanteur à usage multiple.
