I am fascinated by the fact that we only see, what we want to see, what we know and believe. Vision is highly selective, subjective and easily deceived. I thrive on the challenge of playing with the onlooker’s mind by creating visual strategies of displacement, wonder and questioning.
With my work, the viewer’s interaction is crucial; by either standing in front or peering through a piece he/ she becomes part of the work, pulled in by the act of viewing.
